A2 Photography Unit 3: Surrealism
1st Response
This was my first response for Surrealism. This one involved overlaying a digital Rorschach and a paper Rorschach. Then I flipped the image again and again. So in effect I turned a Rorschach into a Rorschach. So that is how I derived the name "A Rorschach of a Rorschach". It was a good decision to mirror the image again because then we can look at this image in portrait, landscape, even diagonally and the image will still make sense. I feel it works best in landscape. I only wish I flipped this image again and again and again.

2nd Response
This is my 2nd response. I took this photo on my phone and my mum said why am I taking an image of a puddle. My mum might not of expected this to be my final piece. When I uploaded the original image to Flickr, my teacher commented about it saying 'this look like a human profile'. So I have lead to calling this "A Humanistic Opening" that is because I felt this image was just an opening to a new dimension, but I liked Sir's comment at the humanistic angle.

3rd ResponseThis was my 3rd response. I gave this one a very simple name of "Wrong side up". Mainly because the image is the wrong way up, however I can picture people looking at this and questioning which way is correct.
5th ResponseMy 5th response to Surrealism is a continuation of my 4th. My 5th response is motion blur photos that I got from zooming in onto my 4th response. Then when I took the photo I applied some dramatic and intended camera shake. In my opinion it looks like an optical illusion, like it is trying to hypnotize me.

4th ResponseFor my 4th response, I was inspired by Keld Helmer-Petersen's Back to Black series of photographs. I went around and photographed words. Then applied a Threshold to them. After that, I put them into rows hoping to create some kind of abstract pattern or maybe even a new word.

A2 Photography Unit 4: The Journey
1st Response
For my first response. I decided to print off my favourite photo from my Modern Day Cubism idea.
|
2nd Response
My 2nd response is my 2nd idea for modern day cubism. This time I decided to print off a couple diptych photos. I decided to follow a pattern with these ones. The 1st photo in the Diptych will have a cell size of 150 than the 2nd photo will have a cell size of 300. Which is the maximum pixel size. I was going to make them as a Triptych so have Cell sizes 1, 150 than 300. However this idea didn't really work. This was because in the smallest cell size there was pixilation but it wasn't abstract. You could very easily tell what it is.
