Photograms
Firstly I decided to make photograms in the dark room because the lighting was being to unpredictable for cyanotypes. So I decided to do photograms first where I can control the lighting. Then I will do cyanotypes on a day when it was very sunny. At first it was a bit of a struggle for the photograms to work, this was because the chemicals weren't mixed properly, so after re making the chemicals they were starting to work.
After I made these photograms, I was looking on Pinterest using the words Photography and Pattern. I came across this image. I felt this image was perfect for what I had to do next, which is getting photos of leafs and maybe twigs up close with a macro lens.
Photoshop
After I made these photograms, I decided to put the best ones into Photoshop and apply a Threshold level, I wanted to do this make the objects in the photogram feel as abstract as they could. Another reason why I decided to apply a threshold is because I wanted it to bring out the texture in the objects, to see if there is a pattern in the texture and feel of the object.
