After I was planning my 2nd response. Mr Nicholls wanted me to have another go at Dmesh. So I chose one of the natural forms and put it into Flickr. After I had pixelated the photo I decided that I should cut out some of the shapes from the pixelated image. That way I could put the pixelated image over the original one. As a result the viewer will be looking at 2 patterns rather than one pattern.

This is the result of my test run. The cutting on the test run wasn't as successful as I hoped because it was done with a blunt scalpel. However it didn't really matter because this was just a test run. However if I wanted it to be successful by cutting had to be straight for the idea to be successful.

My Response
Here are a few close up photos of my response to show the element of abstraction. It looks like a disrupted camouflage. The main problem I had with this response was cutting out the shapes. I was cutting them out with a Stanley knife and ruler. However it wasn't easy to cut in a straight line. The trouble isn't the cuts aren't with the shape. The problem is that the cuts aren't flat. The cuts were bumpy. This is because I was struggling to get my wight into the mount board.
